Fear The Walking Dead – Spinoff Title Revealed

Some interesting news is floating around the Interwebs today regarding the spinoff of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” which originated over at Bleeding Cool, who managed to get their hands on the script for the pilot.

Spoiler TV went on to confirm that the script entitled “Fear The Walking Dead,” written by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson, is legit and so is the aforementioned title… for now. Things could change, and they probably will. Also, there’s some question as to whether the title refers to just the pilot or the entire series.

Adam Davidson will direct the pilot, which stars Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam Carey, and Cliff Curtis. Kirkman and Erickson (who also serves as showrunner) exec produce alongside “The Walking Dead’s” Gale Anne Hurd and Dave Alpert.

Spoiler TV also scored the official synopsis for the show, which reads as follows:

The spinoff takes place during the same zombie apocalypse depicted on “The Walking Dead” but in a different location. It revolves around Sean Cabrera (Curtis), a divorced teacher, and Nancy Tompkins (Dickens), a female guidance counselor. Dillane plays the Nancy’s son, Nick, who has battled a drug problem. Debnam Carey plays Nancy’s ambitious daughter, Ashley.
