And this time he don’t have Ash or Spidey to watch his ass! Variety reported today that Raimi, fresh off of spinning his latest web, is ready to trade in his director’s spandex in favor of producing something with a bit more bite.
What does this all mean?
Good news for vampire enthusiasts that’s what!
Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith’s comic saga 30 Days of Night is headed to the big screen with Raimi serving as producer. For the uninitiated, 30 Days of Night focuses on a band of vampires laying siege to an Alaskan town where the sun doesn’t rise one month a year. Oh, the pulse smokin’ possibilities!
Filming is scheduled to start next month in New Zealand with David Hard Candy Slade filling the director’s seat and Josh Hartnett starring.
October 19th, 2007 is the proposed release date, so that gives us plenty of time to dole out the coverage. Keep it right here for more!
