The Chair, a film based on the 2008 Alterna Comics graphic novel of the same name by Peter Simeti and Kevin Christensen, has been in the works for some time now; and with filming set to kick off in February, a new casting update has arrived.

From the Press Release:
Susan Eisenberg (playing the part of Ms. Prince) and Kin Shriner (playing the part of Mr. Bates) have confirmed their roles in the upcoming horror/thriller The Chair.

The screenplay is by Erin Kohut (the editor of the graphic novel) and Simeti, and the director is Chad Ferrin.

Predominantly a voice actress, this marks a rare live-action appearance for Eisenberg who is best known for her work as Wonder Woman in “Justice League” and “Justice League Unlimited.”

No stranger to the big and small screen, Kin Shriner is known to most people for his work on “General Hospital” as Scotty Baldwin. Shriner also has a “Justice League Unlimited” connection, as he voiced Green Arrow on the show.

Synopsis
Richard Sullivan is an innocent man struggling to escape his fate on death row. Witnessing the murders of his fellow inmates at the hands of the prison’s sadistic and psychotic Warden and his crew of guards, Sullivan decides that the only way to survive is to fight back. With the body count rising, the Warden and his guards close in on Sullivan. As he matches the brutality occurring in the prison, Sullivan starts to lose his grip on reality. Memories of the childhood abuse he suffered at the hands of his mother combine with vivid hallucinations which push him to the very edge, forcing him to question his sanity at every turn.
