“The Originals” aired its fall finale this week, and it set things up nicely for the remainder of the show’s second season. But what are fans to do in the meantime? For one thing we can look forward to an upcoming series of three prequel books created by none other than executive producer Julie Plec!
From the Press Release:
“The Originals,” a sexier, more mature hit spin-off television show of “The Vampire Diaries,” has three upcoming novels featuring The Original vampire family. This is the first time that “The Originals” is being featured in book format with new, never before seen content.
The titles are historical fiction that begin in the year 1722 in the city of New Orleans, all by series co-creator Julie Plec, with covers that feature images of the television cast members.
Book #1, THE RISE, is set to release January 27, 2015, with subsequent titles coming out March 31 (Book #2, THE LOSS) and then May 26 (Book #3, THE RESURRECTION) from Harlequin’s HQN Books.
