Directed by Amardeep Kaleka & Lars E. Jacobson

A pretty disturbing little flick, actually. One of the only movies I can recall that shows a mother not just killing her children, but doing so in a traditional stalk-n-slash style. The story is about a mother who is pushed too far when her truck-driver husband hits the road again and snaps, killing all but one of her children who plays the traditional survivor girl role this time… Check out my “>Baby Blues review for more! Directed by Frank Sudol

The second animated horror movie from “>City of Rott (review) director Frank Sudol. This time, a group of hunters accidentally find the realm of a bunch of demonic freaks. They want to possess anything that’s on their land, so now the hunters have to fend off the demons with any weapons they have available; shotguns, pick-axes, rotary saws, knives … anything that will kill quickly! What’s the worst kind of death you can think of? Getting eaten alive, right? Well how about getting eaten alive by killer ants! Such is the premise of The Hive, which sees a scientist and his entomologist girlfriend as they’re called in to try and stop the flood of killer ants pouring in from Brazil. Directed by Fred Olen Ray

All right this may not be what you would call a “highlight”, but how many other of Fred Olen Ray’s flicks would get a 20th anniversary edition? The story follows a private eye who happens across a cult of chainsaw-wielding prostitutes while tracking down a runaway. They have an obsession with carving up their Johns to further their cultish practices, you see. So of course it’s the dick’s job to stop him!
