We’ve been shamelessly plugging the hell out of the upcoming After Dark HorrorFest, the first film festival that will be seen in over 500 theaters in 35 states. Showcasing 8 (and in some places 10) independently made horror films that may have had to wait years for any kind of release, not to mention a theatrical one, the experiment is one we want to see succeed at all costs. It can only mean more good for the genre if it does.
Our support of the fest and those putting it on has yielded some succulent new fruits for you guys today in the form of clips from 5 of the 8 films that will be playing during the weekend of November 17th-19th! Below you can see a clip from Nacho Cerda’s The Abandoned, Jason Todd Ipson’s Unrest (click here for my interview with him), Takashi Shimizu’s Reincarnation, Richard Brandes’ Penny Dreadful and Mike Mendez’s The Gravedancers (review). When you’re all done with ‘em, be sure to hit HorrorFest’s official site for all the details you could ever need!
