Alone in the Dark and Haunted House to be Given RebootJust ahead of the PAX conference, Atari has announced that horror gamers should get ready to relive their childhoods as they are rebooting the classic Alone in the Dark and Haunted House franchises.

Game Informer has reported the two developers behind the new games: Alone in the Dark: Illumination is being made by Pure while Haunted House is in development at Dreampainters, the studio behind the horror game Anna.

To follow the announcement, Atari will be fully unveiling both games at PAX, which takes place August 29th to September 1st. This marks the second time the Alone in the Dark franchise has been rebooted with the last attempt arriving in 2002 to a lukewarm reception.

Both Alone in the Dark and Haunted House will be available later this year on PC. No word has been given on a console version.
