After premiering at Cannes, UK horror flick White Settlers is soon headed into our lives, though no official release date has been set. In the meantime, check out the just released first trailer for the home invasion thriller, which comes equipped with creepy pig masks aplenty!
White Settlers, directed by the Grimmfest film festival’s head honcho Simeon Halligan, is a tense, nightmarish tale of a couple who escape from the fast-paced life of London to live in a remote cottage in Scotland. But, as they soon find out, they are far from welcome.
Written by Ian Fenton, the film also stars Lee Williams (“The Tudors”) and Joanne Mitchell (Before Dawn).
Synopsis
It’s Ed and Sarah’s first night at their new home, an isolated farmhouse. This should be a new beginning away from their stressful London lives. And at first it is; come sunset they fall in love all over again as they wander in the beautiful Scottish landscape. But as darkness falls, Sarah suspects they’re not alone, Ed goes to investigate and quickly, the evening becomes a nightmare. It suddenly dawns on them; they do not belong here. And they’re certainly not welcome…
