Cast Heads Into Darren Bousman’s Abattoir

Yesterday we shared with you the news that filming has officially begun on Darren Bousman’s (Saw II, III, IV; Repo! The Genetic Opera, Mother’s Day) Abattoir, and today comes more word about the project in regards to the cast. Read on for the latest!
Per Variety, the full cast includes Joe Anderson, Dayton Callie, Jessica Lowndes and Lin Shaye, with no mention of the previously announced Chad Michael Murray. It appears as if he’s no longer involved in the film.
Bousman is directing from a script by David Schow, Teddy Tenenbaum and Christopher Monfette.
The story centers on a real estate reporter (Lowndes) who unearths an urban legend about a house being built from rooms where horrific tragedies have occurred. The investigation ultimately leads to the enigmatic Jebediah Crone and the answer to the terrifying question, “How do you build a haunted house?”
Jesse Berger is producing. Production is currently under way in New Orleans.
