Yet another take on the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale is heading our way, and this time it’s a witchy “versus” tale from The Asylum. Read on for the early details of and first artwork for Hansel vs. Gretel.
The film, directed by Ben Demaree (Apocalypse Pompeii) and written by Jose Prendes (The Divine Tragedies), stars Brent Lydic and Aqueela Zoll. Producers include David Michael Latt, David Rimawi, and Paul Bales.
Look for Hansel vs. Gretel on DVD January 20, 2015, with special features set to include a featurette, gag reel, and trailers.
Synopsis
Trapped under a dark spell, Gretel assembles a coven of witches that starts to terrorize the town until Hansel gains the courage to fight his sister and the sinister forces that control her.
