Director Patrick Rea (Nailbiter) has just wrapped a new horror-comedy short, entitled Howl of a Good Time, and he sent over several behind-the-scenes photos for us to share.

The short stars Tamara Glynn (Halloween 5), Leslie Easterbrook (The Devil’s Rejects), and Renae Geerlings (Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2, Compound Fracture) and involves a horror-movie loving little girl who attempts to sneak into a private screening of fictional horror film Foaming at the Mouth II.  However, it’s clear that this isn’t a typical film screening.

Howl of a Good Time was filmed over four days at the Hot Springs Horror Film Festival, which took place October 23-26 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  It was produced by Rea, Glynn, and Bill Volland.  Hanuman Brown-Eagle (Nailbiter) was the director of photography. Thanks to Dominic Wieneke for the stills.

Another of Rea’s short films, Counter Parts, will be screening at the New York City Horror Film Festival on November 14.
