Incredible Fan-Made Poster Pays Tribute to Halloween II’s Opening Credits

As far as opening title sequences are concerned, no horror franchise did them better than Halloween, which began when John Carpenter zoomed in on an eerie jack o’lantern and ushered us all into Haddonfield. The sequel’s opening was even more impressive, depicting a carved pumpkin splitting in half, with a human skull on the inside.

That imagery has become as synonymous with the film as Michael Myers himself, and artist Marc Schoenbach has just paid tribute to it with a new art print that’s a must-own for all fans of the franchise.

I always loved the original posters for Halloween and Halloween II and thought that having a Michael Myers-less poster conveyed the essence of the film,” Schoenbach told us. “Creating something iconic and creepy without giving too much away – that was the goal of this poster.”

Check out the incredible art below, and if you want to purchase a print, you can contact the artist at Marc@SadistArtDesigns.com. He’s selling the 18″x24″ prints for $35, and they’re limited to only 50.

Below you’ll also find a faux TV ad as well as an image of the art with the film’s title text, though the former was merely made for fun and the latter can only be won in a giveaway being held on the Sadist Art Designs Instagram.
