The Box Moves Dates Again

default-featured-image

The Box set for 9/11/09 dateThe last update we had on some kind of release for Richard Kelly’s The Box gave a somewhat reasonable date of March 20th, 2009 for its theatrical bow. So, of course, that appears to have changed.

Collider reports that WB isn’t planning on opening The Box until September 11th, 2009. Why, you may ask? Perhaps to give people time to wash Southland Tales from their brains? Who knows why a studio does what it does, but I’m sure money is a factor in there somewhere.

Consequently, if you’re heading to Comic Con next month, don’t expect to see stars Cameron Diaz or James Marsden wandering the floor; WB has apparently postponed its promotion plans for it as well, which only makes sense since they’ll have next year’s show to hype it.
