Dark Delicacies Coming to Your TV?

Dark Delicacies to get its own anthology show! While I’m sure you’re all eager to check out the first pics from John Landis’ Fear Itself entry, “In Sickness and In Health”, scripted by Jeepers Creepers creator Victor Salva, some far more interesting news was found in the story over on Fangoria that features them…

“I’ve been writing for the past year now for my own anthology horror series, Dark Delicacies,” Salva told the mag. “created with my partner Del Howison and based on his award-winning book and horror store of the same name. Clive Barker will be our onscreen host for a show that’ll be a great cross between Twilight Zone, Thriller, Outer Limits and Alfred Hitchcock Presents. While Del and I are still shopping the show around, NBC asked for the “In Sickness” episode I had written for us to do, but I was only too happy to see John Landis and NBC take it and make it their own for what I’m hoping is the beginning of a new surge of horror TV.”

I gotta say, that’s some pretty damn cool news to hear. Del Howison is one of the coolest (not to mention most connected) guys in our genre, so knowing he’s behind an anthology series fills me with something akin to glee. Hopefully we’ll be hearing a lot more about this very soon so stay tuned!

And don’t forget to check out our podcast series “>Dreadtime Stories, which is sponsored by Dark Delicacies!
