Trailer Unleashes Hideo Nakata's Monsterz
After years of having his movies remade, Japanese filmmaker Hideo Nakata (Ring, Dark Water) has just made a remake of his own, entitled Monsterz. If you don't recognize the title, that'd be because it's actually based on a Korean film called Haunters, released in 2010.
Monsterz premieres over in Japan on May 10th, and we've got the full trailer for ya today. Check it out!
The film stars Fujiwara Tatsuya (Battle Royale), Yamada Takayuki, and Satomi Ishihara.
A man possesses a special ability to manipulate others with just his eyes. Because of this special ability, he killed his abusive father and was abandoned by his mother. He now lives a lonely life in the dark side of a city.
Meanwhile, Tanaka Shuichi doesn’t have a family and lives with his friends. Even though he is poor, he has a bright outlook on life. One day these two men meet. The man becomes confused because he can’t manipulate Shuichi with his eyes.
