Get Stoned with this New Still from A Grim BecomingDread Central received an exclusive clip from Adam R. Steigert’s horror comedy A Grim Becoming today, and to make it even more special, co-star Bill Oberst, Jr., provides a brief introduction. Along with the clip we have details on the film’s theatrical premiere in Hamburg, New York, over Halloween weekend.

DefTone Pictures Studios’ A Grim Becoming stars Brandyn T. Williams, Melyssa Jade, Devanny Pinn, Britt Griffith, Bill Oberst, Jr., Jessica Cameron, Melantha Blackthorne, Lynn Lowry, and Michael Sciabarrasi. It’s directed by Adam R. Steigert.

Synopsis
A Grim Becoming follows Raphael (Williams) , a young, bitter executive who is on the verge of losing a multimillion dollar architectural deal with a large company led by the awkward Stanford brothers. A sudden death in his family has Raphael leaving to go to his home town of Metzburgh to attend the funeral. Seeing this as his big chance to get ahead is Wayne, a jealous co-worker, who is in competition with Raphael. As Raphael returns to Metzburgh, he experiences a life changing event: witnessing a Grim Reaper taking a soul. This sighting results in Raphael becoming a Reaper and having to explore his own conscience and the lengths he will go to get his life back. But Death, who goes by the more human name of Magoo (Sciabarrasi), has other plans for the naive young executive.

Steigert tells us of the clip, “It features Raphael attending the wake of his nephew, Lance (played by Mike Sarcinelli). Raphael has just begun to feel the effects of the curse, and when he touches his nephew to say goodbye, a shocking event occurs. The clip has a special Dread Central introduction by indie icon Bill Oberst, Jr., who plays Lance’s father, Phill, in the film. The scene also features horror stars Melantha Blackthorne and Devanny Pinn along with supermodel/actress Melyssa Jade and Buffalo actor Arlynn Knauff.”
