A Manticore Invades Portland in These Images from Grimm Episode 3.11 – The Good Soldier

This week “Grimm” puts its own spin on the legend of the Manticore, and you can see the Wesen version of the creature in these new stills from Episode 3.11, “The Good Solider,” along with a bit of detective work.
If you’re not familiar with the legend of the Manticore, per Monstrous.com, it typically has the body of a red lion, the face and ears of a human, and a tail ending in a stinger like that of a scorpion. The mouth contains three rows of teeth, and its poisoned spines along the tail can be shot like arrows in any direction. Sweet!
“Grimm” Episode 3.11 – “The Good Soldier” (airs 1/17/14)
NICK AND HANK INVESTIGATE A SERIES OF VETERAN MURDERS WHILE MONROE MEETS ROSALEE’S FAMILY FOR THE FIRST TIME — KIRK ACEVEDO AND EMILY RIOS GUEST STAR — Nick (David Giuntoli) and Hank (Russell Hornsby) are called to the gruesome murder of a veteran working in home security. During their investigation, they discover this might be one of several revenge killings regarding a horrifying cover-up involving members of the Army and military contractors.
On the domestic front, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) accompanies Rosalee (Bree Turner) during her long overdue reunion with her mother and sister.
In Europe, Adalind (Claire Coffee) sees hints of what she thinks might be her powers returning. Bitsie Tulloch, Sasha Roiz, and Reggie Lee also star.
