Steve Romano just turned in this week’s winning entry in our ongoing Shock Festival contest and I gotta say; this is my favorite one so far!
“This one I liked because of the clever wordplay, and because I felt like doing another monster disaster movie.” Romano commented on his reasons for choosing Tarantulasaurus, submitted by Chris Davis, as this week’s winner, “The original entry title had “Rex” at the end of it, but I thought the title treatment was stronger without that. In true Shock Festival style, I wanted to pay homage to one of my favorite movie posters for one of my favorite disaster films with this one, too, and I managed to get it in there. Who can tell me what movie I’m paying tribute to?”
