Lifetime’s upcoming biopic about Lizzie Borden, Lizzie Borden Took an Ax, is set to debut on January 25th of next year, and the first trailer for the TV-movie has arrived. Check it out; it looks to be a campy, fun time!
Christina Ricci stars as Lizzie with Billy Campbell as her lawyer and Clea DuVall as her sister. Lizzie Borden Took an Ax, directed by Nick Gomez (“Dexter,” “FlashForward,” “Burn Notice”), will premiere on Lifetime January 25th at 8:00 pm ET.
Synopsis
It’s not just a disturbing nursery rhyme! Now the true story of how Lizzie Borden murdered her parents (or did she?) in the summer of 1892 is being brought to Lifetime. The true-crime case captured national attention when it first happened, proving that Americans’ obsession with scandalous and sordid tales is nothing new.
