The Horrors of the 2014 Golden Globe AwardsThe nominees for the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced this morning, and there's not much for horror fans to be happy about. Read on to see which TV show and its star were the sole genre nominations to be found.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association once again bestowed some love on "American Horror Story" with this year's incarnation, "American Horror Story: Coven," receiving the nod for Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. Jessica Lange was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

And that's it for the horror side of the fence although we would like to take a moment to mention that "Orphan Black's" Tatiana Maslany garnered some well deserved recognition with a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama.

The 2014 Golden Globe Awards, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler for the second year in a row, will air on Sunday, January 12th, LIVE coast-to-coast on NBC with the pre-show from 4:00-5:00 p.m. (PST)/7:00-8:00 p.m. (EST), and main telecast from 5:00-8:00 p.m. (PST)/8:00-11:00 p.m. (EST) from the Beverly Hilton.
