Lionsgate Revving Up For New Saw Film

Lionsgate Revving Up For New Saw FilmWe knew that "final" Saw movie wasn't going to be the last by any stretch of the imagination. Let's face it; with Carrie being the only attraction in theatres this past Halloween, there was a pretty big void at the box office. One that only a horror heavyweight can fill.

Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Lionsgate is incredibly active in developing an eighth Saw based on the franchise created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell. After a three-year break, Lionsgate is back to their torturous ways and seeking a new direction for the franchise that took over Halloween for nearly a decade. Since its exit, Paranormal Activity has become the reigning champion of the month of October (sans this year).

There appears to be no rush on Lionsgate’s part as they’re seeking the perfect take to move forward. There were rumblings of a remake, while many insiders tell Bloody that they want to continue with Saw 8.

So what do you guys want? A remake/reboot? Another sequel? Or should well enough just be left alone? Sound off below!

I miss singing the Mandalor theme every Halloween.

Yeah, it's definitely time for some new SAW sequels.
