Directed by Various

First question; who the hell is Bonejack? Second question; why the hell does he get his own 5-DVD box set? The answer to the second one is pretty easy, actually. Most of these are movies I know I wouldn’t want my name attached to in any way! Featured in this box set are Quest for the Egg Salad, Mulva 2: Kill Teen Ape!, Destruction Kings, Film Crew and Wet Heat. Don’t ask me what any of them are about because I refuse to look. So there! Buy it here!

Directed by Dan Zachary

Years ago a sleepy small town was terrorized by the North Bend Reaper. In the present day a group of actors are trying to cash in on the town’s misfortune by hosting a murder mystery party. All the fun and games come to a quick end, though, when someone starts picking off the actors. The DVD also includes Darkworld, which is about a beautiful dead girl who works as a soul huntress for an evil overlord. Buy it here!

Directed by George A. Romero

Anyone who’s been paying attention to the site and/or listened to our Dinner for Fiends dedicated to the film knows that we’re all pretty divided on Diary of the Dead, to say the least. I absolutely hated it from start to finish; Kasch thought it was a zombie masterpiece. But at the end of the day you have to decide if it works for you. Though it wouldn’t kill you to read our “>Diary of the Dead DVD review, would it? Of course not. Buy it here!

Directed by Damon Vignale

Ah, those pesky forces of the occult, they sure can be a pain in the ass, can’t they? In this case they make a police detective question everything she’s known to be true in her daily life when an investigation into a web of deception leads her to realize she’s dealing with the occult. I guess that’s better than finding out you’re dealing with The Cult, the band, cause I hear they’re not very nice. Buy it here!

Directed by Melanie Orr

So that’s what happened to Fairuza Balk! She’s in some direct-to-DVD film, of course. She stars as a girl who was the driver when she got in a wreck that caused her younger brother to fall into a deep coma. She does what everyone else would do; buys a farmhouse and starts having strange occurrences, which includes her next-door neighbors and pretty much anyone else in her life. Buy it here!

Directed by Armand Mastroianni

As more and more women turn up dead in New York City, well, no one really notices, do they? But in this movie they do, and people are afraid. Meanwhile a young artist is drawing the murders before they happen, which a TV reporter and a police detective find way too much of a coincidence, and they both become obsessed with the artist. One wants to save her; the other must kill her. Buy it here!

Directed by Matt Codd

Ah, a classic story of Roanoke Island with Adrian Paul, just what we’ve all been waiting for! Beside the body of a dead soldier is written the ancient language of Vikings, a warning that’s never been translated. What does this have to do with Roanoke Island? I guess you’re going to have to get the movie to figure out that little mystery, won’t you? Buy it here!

Directed by Jacque La Certe

What a cool cover, eh? The story is about a woman who’s obsessed with the dead, finding herself at funerals without even understanding why. Once the mourners have left, she finds herself sexually aroused by the dead bodies. When she looks into it a bit more, she finds that this obsession may have to do with her dead father, which is just a creepy enough statement for me to leave it at that… Buy it here!

Click to see it bigger!Lucker the Necrophagus (1986)
Directed by Johan Vandewoestijne

What the hell kind of title is that? The film’s about a man named John Lucker, a disturbed serial rapist and killer. After eight murders, he’s finally put into a clinic (?), but then he manages to escape and heads to the city, searching for the lone survivor of his last killing spree. He keeps killing and killing, raping and raping, searching for one woman in a very large city. The disc contains a making-of documentary and the uncut version of the film for the first time on DVD. Click to see it bigger!Night of the Living Dead: 40th Anniversary Edition (1968)
Directed by George A. Romero

Not that you really need a new edition of this classic movie, but if you can only own one of the many versions out there, this is the one to get. Aside from a remastered transfer of the film, there are two commentary tracks, a massive documentary about the history and impact of the film (which includes our own Uncle Creepy!), interviews, and a lot more. Directed by Adam Ahlbrandt

A man named Jeffrey leads a quiet existence, terrified of being labeled a psychopath because he can see the spirits of the vengeful dead. Then he meets a young woman who shares the same sight he does and finds some comfort knowing someone else understands his affliction. But when she disappears, everything goes to hell. Click to see it bigger!Sorority Sister Slaughter (2007)
Directed by Susan Hippen

The girls of sorority Kappa Tau Omega love to party and get wasted, as most girls in sororities do. But pretty soon a vengeful ghost who now haunts their hallways will systematically slaughter them, which they more than likely will deserve. Not that I have anything against sororities or anything. The ghost is named Red Dahlia because of her gory death, and they’ll really understand the name when they face similar fates. Buy it here!

Click to see it bigger! The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde (2006)
Directed by John Carl Buechler

Tony Todd stars in this new adaptation of the classic Robert Louis Stevenson book, but this one has admittedly more blood & guts. I mean look at the director, for God’s sake; he’s the guy who did all the gory goodness in Hatchet! This time out, Dr. Jekyll’s alter ego is taking down the co-eds at a local college. Of course he finds his way to the good doctor’s fiancée, and then things get really complicated. Buy it here!
