Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers Screens on 35mm This Saturday at the New BevIn the Los Angeles area and looking to celebrate the fast approaching Halloween holiday? Screening Saturday, October 26, at 12 midnight as part of Brian Collins’ Horror Movie A Day Series and New Beverly Midnights, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers heads back to the big screen for one night only. This means you get to enjoy the last film in the franchise to actually feel like a Halloween movie (as well as the last film to bother with established lore and continuity), with a great Alan Howarth score, some terrific atmosphere and, of course, a storyline that doesn’t exactly add up. But the early presence of Paul Stephen Rudd balances all of that out!

Oh yeah, and this happens to be the ultra-rare, convention bootleg staple version of Halloween 6 known as the Producer’s Cut. This is the version that screened for test audiences before Dimension realized they didn’t like the more overtly supernatural elements of it and ordered reshoots.

The New Beverly Cinema is located at 7165 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA. Tickets are only $8 and can be purchased here. The doors open at 11:59 PM, and the event will feature a Q&A with screenwriter Dan Farrands beforehand. As this movie had a fascinating production history (and turbulent shoot), you should hear some excellent stories.
