Brooklyn Halloween Display Causes Controversy Amongst Residents

Brooklyn Halloween Display Causes Controversy Amongst ResidentsWe can't help but laugh when we hear news report about uptight citizens getting up in arms about harmless Halloween decorations. One of the most fun aspects of the season is turning your lawn into a spooky display, which apparently has become grounds for reporters showing up at your home...

...and neighbors issuing complaints and calling the cops. Sigh.

The latest report this year about controversial Halloween decorations is coming out of Brooklyn, NY, where a woman turned the porch of her brownstone apartment into a gruesome display that CBS described as "a torture chamber." Baby dolls are strewn about the porch, in various states of destruction, and one particularly upset neighbor deemed the decorations "demonic," going on to say that they are "teaching children how to be more violent than they already are."

Others in the neighborhood disagree and see the decapitated, impaled and mutilated baby dolls for what they are: nothing more than a fun and artistic Halloween display. "It's Halloween, it's supposed to be scary," said one woman interviewed by CBS, perfectly summing up our thoughts on the matter.

...having condemned the Halloween display, the old lady then rushed home and comforted herself by turning to her Bible, in which thousands upon thousands of people weren't murdered in a variety of violent ways.

I've seen very few Halloween decorations in my town the last couple of years. People don't decorate much for Christmas either. Seems like people have lost the holiday spirit all around, or they're just too busy to care. This morning I saw a house that didn't appear to have any decorations until I saw three glowing eyes on stalks in their flower garden. I'd give them an 'D' for effort.

This is why Halloween fucking sucks nowadays. Parents are afraid to send their kids trick or treating and some assholes with nothing better to do can't help but complain about decorations. I hope the woman keeps the decorations up. Fuck 'em.

It deeply saddens me that the pussification of the United States has made its way to my hometown of Brooklyn, New York where we used to stab each other just to say hello.
