Happening Clip

The Happening clip!I don’t know about you guys, but I’m really looking forward to seeing what M. Night Shyamalan has in store for us when The Happening is released on Friday, June 13th. For once the ambiguous trailering in which you’re told pretty much nothing is actually working in the film’s favor, at least for me.

Yahoo! Movies just posted an extended clip from The Happening with an intro by Shyamalan himself, discussing the origin of the film and why he decided to try his hand at an R-rated movie. Since the man’s probably pretty out of touch with the online horror community, this might be the only bit like this we see from him. Or maybe they want to make sure it’s seen by as many eyeballs as possible.

Lend your eyeballs to The Happening clip right here, and visit the official Happening site for more when you’re done!

I’ll see this. Unbreakable is one of the most beautiful, saddest movies and Signs is a believable family-dynamic picture if you look past the God and aliens afraid of water aspects (if that stuff bothers you, which it didn’t bother me I just took it for what it was)

That being said, I’ll give it a shot. Worst thing that happens is that it’s not good and I shrug and put the DVD on my shelf next to my only once watched Lady in the Water.

That pooch must be gettin’ pretty sore by now…

  • Dr Malachi Constant

The idea is actually pretty good. I remember reading a synopsis of it when he was (having a lot of trouble) shopping the script around last year. But, it looks like he’s gone and screwed the pooch again.

I am kind of getting stuck in the middle here. Some of the acting is OK, some of it’s awful. The idea (don’t want to spoil it) could make for a very kick ass movie, but I have a feeling the overall message may get pounded into our heads.

  • Doc Block

    What a twist!

  • Hunter1006

This movie looks absolutely horrible. In this clip, did anyone notice the awful acting and the overbearing music?

  • frank_dracman

I’ll watch this one like I watch the rest of Shamalamadingdong’s stupid movies: while playing computer games only to glance up and roll my eyes at some ridiculous “twist”. The blind chick can find her way all across a forest and over a wall and not get lost? Whatever…

  • Terminal

Cool guy? Are we suddenly in the fifties?

Well, you can imagine how much sleep I’ll lose by your response, but I’ll get through.

Stay home and I’ll let you know what happens in “The Happening.”

Heh, I said happen twice. Hyuk.

  • Dr Malachi Constant

I swear to God, Terminal … sometimes, I almost think you’re a cool guy. Then, you say something like that.

  • Terminal

    “I don’t think anybody is.”

Speak for yourself, I can’t wait to see this.

  • Sirand

Lady in the Water was so magically magical, I wanted to bash in a kitten’s head with my heel.

  • Johnny Butane

No, I genuinely am. I can’t wait to see it… even though I get a sinking sensation I will be let down.

    Again.

  • The Woman In Black

I’ll see it for Wahlberg. He brings a real likability and everyman feel to every role he plays.

  • Dr Malachi Constant

I don’t think anybody is. The only reason I’d even consider seeing this flick is Zooey Deschanel … and, even then, I’d probably wait until it came on HBO.

  • PelusaMG

I’m really NOT looking forward to seeing what M. Night Shyamalan has in store for us…
