Doomsday DVD Art!

Man, nothing irks me more than waiting and waiting to see the DVD art for a movie I’m looking forward to, only for it to just be the theatrical poster. So many good images from Doomsday and they just had to go with this again, eh?
We gave you guys all the Doomsday DVD details a few days back, today DVD Active got a look at the art for said disc, which drops on July 29th. Click here to pre-order Doomsday through Evilshop!

I could give a fuck what the box looks like, I’m just glad to have the movie.

  • ivelnoslo

Oooh, yum yum yum. LeeAnn Liebenberg aka Viper. She’s front and center at the top of the box, so I am one happy little man.

  • Chainsaw

I like it. It could have easily been another Happy Birthday To Me.

Let’s face it, the only discs that get kickass artwork these days is usually 30 year old giallo and Criterion releases.

I’m glad they went with the poster too, there are a million stupid images they could have gone with that would have been awful.

Frankly, I prefer it when they go with the theatrical posters most of the time. The DVD arms of most studios employ some of the worst graphic designers around, they shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near most DVD covers.

I agree Kryten. It’s much better than floating heads, or a photoshopped group photo.

Speak for yourself, Johnny. I am glad they went with the best poster art. I think it’s “niiiiicccce.”

  • Johnny Butane

    We’re a fickle bunch, that’s for sure.

  • Terminal

Wow, so you guys complain when the original art isn’t featured in exchange for floating heads (30 Days of Night DVD), and now you’re mad because… it’s the original poster. Sheesh.
