J.T. Petty Still Attached to Faces of Death Film
It's been a long, and I mean long, time since last we heard anything about director J.T. Petty's take on the cult underground favorite Faces of Death. As a matter of fact, it seems the last time was way back in 2009. Today an update has come.
STYD caught up with Petty, who had this to say about the movie, "I turned in a new draft of the script a month ago. I'd love to make it; it would be the most horrific of the movies I've made so far." Could this be Petty's next film? Only time will tell.
The original 1978 film Faces of Death became infamous for showcasing real death-related videos that ranged everywhere from an autopsy to an alligator attack and everywhere in between. Just how much of the film was "real" has been a matter of speculation in various circles, but all you really have to do to get your answers is order yourself a copy of Faces of Death on Blu-ray and listen to the commentary and watch the special features. See how simple things are? Technology is wonderful!
