New York City Horror Film Festival Calls for Entries!

Do you have a feature, short, trailer or screenplay sitting around that you think should be seen by the public? Looking for that big shot to get noticed and fulfill your dreams of being a serious filmmaker?
The New York City Horror Film Festival (newly redesigned site) is giving you that chance to get your work out there! Right now the festival is accepting films and screenplays. Check out the details below, or click here to download the submission forms:
The NYCHFF is an international film festival and accepts films and screenplays from around the globe. The NYCHFF holds no “completion date” or “world premiere” status regulations. All checks or money orders should be made out to The NYC Horror Film Festival. Please pay attention to our strict festival deadlines, which are as follows:
Films:
Regular: Jan 1st through Sept 1st.
Late: Sept 1 through Sept 15th. (postmarked)
Screenplays: Jan 1st through Sept 1st. Submissions postmarked later then Sept. 15th will be automatically submitted to the following year.
The NYCHFF only accepts submissions on DVD (NTSC). No PAL or VHS will be considered. All filmmakers will be notified no later then Oct 1st of each year of submission status. Selected Films; The NYCHFF screening formats are 35mm, 16mm, Beta, DigiBeta, and Mini-DV. Any film selected to screen at the NYCHFF must not screen in the state of NY or NJ at least one month prior to the festival. Before submitting, we encourage filmmakers to research any and all film festivals they intend on submitting to. Film festival fees add up, so please do your homework before submitting to any event! You’ve got from now until September 15th, 2008 to submit your film. The NYCHFF will be held for a full week in October. The exact date has yet to be determined, but we’ll update as soon as we know.
