American Idol's Jennifer Lopez Signs On to Meet The Boy Next Door for Blumhouse
Jenny from the block is moving into the wrong neighborhood as word has come that "American Idol"'s hottest judge will soon be belting out screams instead of songs for Blumhouse's new flick, The Boy Next Door.
Variety reports that Jennifer Lopez has landed in Jason Blum’s new micro-budget thriller that the Paranormal Activity producer will make under his first-look deal at Universal.
Lopez will star as a newly separated mother who begins an affair with a new teenage neighbor who befriends her son. Trouble ensues, however, when she tries to abruptly end the relationship.
xXx and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor director Rob Cohen is in talks to direct the film from a script by Barbara Curry.
The Boy Next Door begins shooting in the fall as Lopez’s other high-profile gig, a judging stint on “American Idol,” gears up for its January start.
