Doomsday Returns This July!

Universal has finally set a date for the DVD release of Neil Marshall’s “>Doomsday (review), a movie that, at best, divided fans as to its validity since it was really one big homage. But damnit, it was done the right way if you ask me!
The disc will drop on July 29th, 2008, and come complete with the following features:

Commentary by Marshall, Sean Pertwee, Darren Morfitt, Rick Warden and Les Simpson

“Anatomy of Catastrophe: Civilization on the Brink” featurette

“The Visual Effects and Wizardry of Doomsday” featurette

“Devices of Death: Guns, Gadgets and Vehicles of Destruction” featurette

There will be both rated and unrated editions available, the unrated containing a whopping four additional minutes of post-apocalyptic goodness, and a Blu-ray release is planned to hit at the same time. Man, I can’t wait to watch this on my big beautiful TV!
