Gallowwalker Trailer!

Been a while since we heard anything from the world of Gallowwalker, the Wesley Snipes zombie cowboy movie. It’s all right, though; absence makes the heart grow fonder, especially when the heart is anticipating a badass zombie movie with western aesthetics, something no one’s been able to pull off quite right yet.

The official Gallowwalker site now comes complete with the film’s trailer, which you can also see by scrolling down a few inches. You’ll find concept art, behind-the-scenes photos, storyboards, and more, though none of that is actually new. Man, that song at the end of the trailer almost ruins the good vibes I was getting from it; talk about inappropriate musical choices …

  1. I still think it looks like fun, and there are some cool shots that make me think they’re going for a real spaghetti western style.

And I don’t know what expectations have to do with it…I had never heard of this movie before seeing this article, so i had zero expectations, except that I kinda like the idea of zombies crossed with a western. I just think it was a pretty bad trailer overall.

  2. C’mon the song wan’t that bad, and I hate all kinds of Nu-Metal. Ok, it was bad.

I like the looks of this. Good dumb fun.

I’m going to dye my beard in that white pattern that Snipes has.

But this looks like a fun time. I’ll definitely check it out…even if it looks like there might be king fu in this western.

  3. Never heard of this film before now, but quite liked the trailer and would go and see it/rent it based on it.

Not sure the rock music is out of place based on the premise of the film, and I thought the transitional drawings were quite nicely done!

I guess it all depends on how high your expectations were, as to how much you thought this sucked… :-/

  4. I was so excited with the concept and the productions stills I saw, but seeing the trailer im afraid its gonna be to mainstream for my taste. I was hoping it could be a little more artsy. But nevertheless I love the characthers and the art direction. And you are right, the song sucks, and I wasnt to happy about the drawings either.

  5. If you can sift past the godawful editing at the beginning of the trailer, the godawful voice-over in the middle of the trailer and the godawful rock music at the end of the trailer (Rock music? Really? In a fucking WESTERN?), it actually looks like it could be a very cool, fun flick.
