Leigh Whannell Provides Details About Upcoming Sci-Fi Flick Stem
It was in 2004 that we all became familiar with the name Leigh Whannell, a guy who impressed right off the bat by both writing and starring in Saw.
He gained even more fans with Insidious, and it was during a recent interview in regards to the sequel (which comes out September 13th) that Whannell spilled the beans about another upcoming project of his.
As reported by Bloody Disgusting, Whannell revealed that he's currently working on a sci-fi flick called Stem, a project that began a few years back but is finally on the fast track, after the box office success of Insidious. He hopes to get the film made next year, with Daybreakers filmmakers the Spierig brothers attached to direct.
Whannell describes Stem as being in the vein of Terminator, but that's about all he's able to provide at the moment.
