Hooper Talks More Chainsaw

In preparation for the debut of his second Masters of Horror entry, “The Dammed Thing” (which you can read the first review for right here), one of Bloody Disgusting’s gore-espondents sat down for a one-on-one with director Tobe Hooper. While I’m sure there was much talk of Hooper’s grue-filled episode (truly some of the coolest gore I’ve seen in a while), the real meat of the conversation came in the form of a certain massacre from Texas.

As has been reported before, the Master is executive producing a new series called “The Texas Chainsaw Chronicles,” which Hooper revealed he hopes will get started up after the third planned Texas Chainsaw film is out in theaters. I guess it’s not too surprising that a third film is already in talks, I just wonder when it’s going to take place. Will it be called Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Middle? Only time will tell…

Hooper also revealed that he’s working on a new book about the making of the original film along with co-writer Kim Henkel and that there’s a possibility even that will see an adaptation at some point as well. Look for the full interview on B-D very soon for more, and be sure to tune in to Showtime this Friday, October 27th, at 10:00 pm to see “The Damned Thing.” I think you guys will dig it!
