Pacific Rim Toho Trailer Delivers the GoodsIn my review for Pacific Rim I stated that Guillermo del Toro's movie was a love letter to the old Kaiju flicks of yesterday. This latest fan-made video proves that statement in spades. Check it out!

From acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro comes Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ epic sci-fi action adventure Pacific Rim.

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes--a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)--who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Like aliensharkboy said, that's a far better trailer than we got.

Damn that's a good trailer. Wouldn't mind if it was the official one! That Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla II soundtrack is one of my favorite movie scores, like, ever! ... behind the main Godzilla theme, of course.

Goddamnit, I wanted to see this twice in the theater but it got pulled after only two weeks. Now there's nothing but kid movies and fucking Grown Ups 2. So far it's made the budget back plus a couple million. Cannot believe more people aren't seeing this. At least it did well overseas.
