Marvel Looking at Joseph Gordon-Levitt As Possible Doctor Strange

Well this is interesting. According to our friends over at Latino Review, The Dark Knight Rises, Looper, and Inception‘s Joseph Gordon-Levitt could be in line to learn the mystical powers of Doctor Strange.

“Now at press time, we are not saying that an offer has been made, that talks have even engaged and who knows, Levitt and his team are probably unaware, BUT we are hearing that Marvel execs internally are discussing that Levitt is who they figure would be ideal,” the site reports, wording the news as carefully as possible.

The film is being penned by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer.

Created in 1963, Doctor Strange is the story of an arrogant surgeon who is injured in a car accident and goes on to become the Sorcerer Supreme of the Marvel universe. Using his magical powers, Strange protects the Earth from attacks from other realms.
