Oculus Director Knows What You Did Last Summer

All aboard, kids! The Hollywood remake machine is chugging along at full speed, and when it stops, it will bring with it a remake of I Know What You Did Last Summer. Normally we’d be complaining, but this shows some promise given the talent involved.

According to Deadline, Sony Pictures is rebooting the franchise which began in 1997. This one is being written and produced by Oculus co-writer/director Mike Flanagan and partner Jeff Howard adapting the 1973 Lois Duncan book again and producing along with Neal Moritz, who produced the original.

I Know What You Did Last Summer tells the tale of a group of friends who are being stalked by a killer after conspiring to cover up a fatal car accident.
