Stranded Gets a Release Date, New Artwork, and a Trailer

Stranded Gets a Release Date, New Artwork, and a TrailerImage Entertainment has set a July 26 theatrical release date for Stranded, the new film from Roger Christian, which stars Christian Slater and his miraculously returning hairline; and we have a new one-sheet and trailer to go along with it!

Slater plays Gerard, and the story centers on a series of terrifying events that take place aboard the Ark moon base. When a meteor suddenly collides with their base, the astronauts find themselves in immediate danger. The crew members quickly learn that spores from the meteorite can replicate cell structure, reproduce, and mutate, forcing everyone on board to fight for their lives.

Ava, the only female astronaut, becomes infected, showing signs of pregnancy at a rapid rate. Within 36 hours she gives birth to a creature that mutates into the life form of another crew member. As the astronauts begin to experience this sinister presence, the virus spreads, and Gerard urges for the killing of Ava. The alien being targets the crew one by one, leaving those remaining to destroy it before all are killed.

Amy Matysio (Just Friends, Chained), Michael Therriault (Prairie Giant: The Tommy Douglas Story, Total Recall), and Brendan Fehr ("Bones", "CSI: Miami") co-star alongside Slater. The film is produced by Mark Montague, Kevin Dewalt, and Isabelle Bastion and is a co-production from Minds Eye Entertainment and Moving Pictures Media.

Synopsis
When the isolated U.S. military moon base is bombarded by a rogue meteor storm, Colonel Gerard Brauchman (Christian Slater) and his small crew are cut off from Earth with their life support failing. Before long the crew discovers the meteors harbored alien spores…and they’re replicating. Now a vicious, shape-shifting predatory life form is loose inside the crippled facility, picking off victims one by one. Locked in a desperate fight for survival, Brauchman and the terrified remaining astronauts have one final mission: keep the creature from escaping the moon and finding a new food supply on Earth.

Looks...okay. Though 'From the Director of Battlefield Earth' would honestly bring in more customers I think.

If the poster is any indication, the threat will be a gigantic, weasel faced rat man.
