#SDCC14: NECA Unveils RoboCop vs. Terminator Video Game Action FiguresAt last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, NECA was perhaps the biggest and brightest star of the event, putting up for grabs an NES-inspired Jason Voorhees toy that sent horror fans in a tizzy. Since then, they’ve been steadily adding new figures to the video game line.

Now, during this year’s SDCC they’re looking to once again wow fans with their creativity.

Remember that SNES and Genesis RoboCop vs. The Terminator mash-up video game from the early 90s? Well, NECA has used that game as the inspiration for their latest offering, unveiling at Comic-Con a line that collects together the two franchise icons in all their colorful 16-bit glory.

Series 1 of the line includes two versions of The Terminator with paint deco that re-creates the video game shading. The T-800 includes a Plasma Rifle accessory, and the Endoskeleton comes with a standing Heavy Machine Gun accessory. Both figures are fully articulated and stand approximately 7″ tall.

Series 2 includes two versions of RoboCop with paint deco that re-creates the video game shading. Flamethrower RoboCop includes a massive flamethrower accessory with removable “flame spray” attachment.

Fire-Damaged RoboCop is partially covered in sculpted flames and comes with rocket launcher and laser pistol accessories. Both figures are fully articulated and stand approximately 7″ tall.

Released in late 1997 for the popular 16-bit home consoles, RoboCop vs. The Terminator answered the burning question of sci-fi fans worldwide: Which man/machine would win in a fight? The “future of law enforcement” or the actual future?

NEED. ALL OF IT.
