Kosar Makes Reese a Witch

Is it just me or does it seem like every time there’s a new project announced for Stephen Susco (as there was yesterday), there follows a new project announced for Scott Kosar? Both men got their start doing remakes, and now they’re both moving on to original horror adaptations. And why is it you never see the two of them in the same room together? My God … do you think they’re the same person?!?!

No, they’re not, sorry, but the similarities are a bit uncanny. Variety let loose with the news this morning that Kosar has been tapped by Reese Witherspoon (aw, yeah) to pen a new movie for her to star in called Bell Witch. Originally announced as Our Family Troubles, the title has changed (I liked the original better) but the plot remains the same; a pregnant woman is being haunted by strange phenomena and eventually becomes convinced that and evil spirit is out to get her unborn offspring.

Witherspoon will star and is serving as producer on Bell Witch through her Type A Films. I have to admit I’m curious to see how this one will turn out; Kosar’s a damn fine writer (he penned the original TCM remake, among others), and I’ve always had a soft spot … and a hard one … for Witherspoon.

More when we learn it!
