Gamescom: You Must Improvise in the New Alien: Isolation Trailer

Sega just unleashed a new trailer for its upcoming sci-fi/survival horror game, Alien: Isolation. The trailer, entitled Improvise, displays how the game is paying homage to classic survival horror by returning it to its roots.

Original survival horror games were all about scant resources. It puts extra pressure on any action you take, as you wonder if the bullet you just spent has saved your life or doomed you to failure.

Alien: Isolation‘s new trailer shows that in the game you will not be armed to the teeth. You must “improvise” weapons and devices and think quickly as you use the elements around you, all while fleeing in terror from a murderous alien. This game appears to take place after Plan A has failed and Plan B is all you’ve got left.
