Deadline reports that Noah star Douglas Booth has joined the cast of the classic lit mash-up, adapted from Seth Grahame-Smith’s parody novel. Booth is no stranger to classic tales, previously starring in Romeo & Juliet. He’ll play Bingley L, the good-natured and wealthy pal of Mr. Darcy.

Jack Huston will portray handsome, charismatic Lt. Wickham in the Burr Steers-directed adaptation for Cross Creek Pictures, who acquired domestic rights with a commitment for a wide U.S. release.

Lily James, Sam Riley, and Bella Heathcote also star. Huston’s Wickham and James’ Elizabeth Bennet are immediately attracted to each other, and he’s familiar with her combat skills. Wickham aims to teach zombies to fight, and he wins Liz over with his theories regarding training them.

Steers (Igby Goes Down, Charlie St. Cloud) will direct from a screenplay by himself and David O. Russell. Brian Oliver, Allison Shearmur, Sean McKittrick, Natalie Portman, Annette Savitch, Tyler Thompson, and Marc Butan will produce the film, which mixes the 1817 Jane Austen classic Pride and Prejudice with a legion of bloodthirsty undead, on behalf of Sierra/Affinity, which is also handling foreign sales.
