Exclusive Images from Hayride Arrive to Fork You Over
Alrighty, kids. It's Monday, and yes, that alone makes things suck, but at least we have a couple of exclusive images from the upcoming flick Hayride for you to dig on! At least we're good for something, right? Um... Hello?
Hayride was filmed in Southern Alabama and is loosely based on the childhood experiences of the director, Terron R. Parsons, whose family used to have an annual haunted hayride attraction. The cast includes Mississippi native Sherri Eakin, who is no stranger to independent horror movies, Jeremy Ivy, and veteran actor Richard Tyson (Kindergarten Cop; Black Hawk Down; Me, Myself & Irene). The film follows a college student returning home for Halloween who is forced to face his childhood fears when an escaped killer takes refuge in his family’s haunted hayride attraction. The phrase coined for the film, which has also become its tagline, is “Southern Fried Horror.”
Steven Summers returns home to southern Alabama from college with his girlfriend, Amanda, to attend his uncle's annual Haunted Hayride. Unaware that an escaped killer is on the loose, Steven will soon face the real life embodiment of PITCHFORK, a character his uncle created for the Hayride and Steven's childhood tormentor. Steven will soon realize that not all childhood fears are imagined when the legend of Pitchfork suddenly becomes dangerously real...
