Variety reports this morning that the CW has ordered eight episodes of the horror-themed reality show “13”, which will be produced by Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and veteran reality show creator Jay Bienstock. The show will take place in a classic horror movie setting like a creepy small town or lakeside retreat. 13 contestants will be forced to deal with something killing them off one by one, though I doubt any gore will be involved, sadly.
””We want to cast it like a horror movie,” Bienstock told the trade. “And shoot it a little differently as well. Think about those old movies — we want to put people in a place like that, where they have to deal with their fears and anxieties. They’ll end up surprising one another.”
Could be terrible, could be a lot of fun; only time will tell. We’ll keep an eye on “13” and give you more when we have it!
