First Poster for Joy Ride 2!

We’re starting to get back into gear after this past weekend’s Fear Fest 2, but don’t think we were just slacking off. While working hard to please horror fans, we here at DC discovered that we had the first posters for the sequel to Joy Ride!
Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead‘s poster showed up in one of our boxes of giveaways and we noticed something different. The straight-to-video sequel looks to have changed its name (““>Want More Joy Rides? You Know You Do!” – November 2007), but at least we know Rusty Nail is still going to be our villain. Odd though that none of the cast or even the director get mentioned on the promo…
Anyway, the sequel is set to star Nick Zano, Mark Gibbon, Nicki Aycox, Kyle Schmid, Laura Jordan,and Aisling Walsh with Louis Morneau in the director’s chair. While I didn’t know much about the plot to this #2, STYD was kind enough to provide this detailed synopsis:
“While driving across the country on their way to Las Vegas, two couples are forced to “borrow” a car from an apparently abandoned ranch house when their own vehicle breaks down in rural Utah. Little do they know that the car they took actually belonged to Rusty Nail, the cold, calculating killer who plays vicious and cruel games with his victims, often pursuing them in his ominous, black 18-wheeler truck. After one of their friends is kidnapped by the murderous trucker, the remaining travelers are forced into Rusty’s violent realm to play his sinister cat-and-mouse games in an attempt to rescue their friend and stop the killer before it is too late.”
