Three More Load The Sixth Gun for NBC

Casting news continues for NBC’s “The Sixth Gun” as three more have signed up for active duty in this latest supernatural western. Read on for the skinny on who will be bringing the hot lead to this genre mash-up.

Deadline is reporting that Pedro Pascal (“The Good Wife”), “Ally McBeal” and Phantasm II alum James LeGros and Chin Han (The Dark Knight) have been cast in NBC‘s Carlton Cuse-produced pilot “The Sixth Gun.”

Written by Ryan Condal based on the comic, directed by Jeffrey Reiner and produced by Universal TV, the supernatural Western follows the story of six mythical guns, each with its own other-worldly powers. When the Sixth Gun, the most powerful and dangerous of the group, resurfaces in the hands of an innocent girl, a farmer’s daughter named Becky Montcrief (Laura Ramsey), dark forces reawaken. Pascal will play Special Agent Ortega, the younger of the two Pinkerton detectives who follows Mercer’s (Aldis Hodge) lead. LeGros will play Bill John O’Henry, a gunslinger who is a fervently loyal companion and sidekick to Drake Sinclair. Chin Han plays Chow, a brilliant Machiavellian schemer.

The Sixth Gun Volume #1 Synopsis:
During the darkest days of the Civil War, wicked cutthroats came into possession of six pistols of otherworldly power. The Sixth Gun – the most dangerous of the weapons – vanished. When the gun surfaces in the hands of an innocent girl (Ramsey), dark forces reawaken. Villains thought long dead set their sights on retrieving the gun and killing anyone in their path. Only Drake Sinclair, a gunslinger with a shadowy past, stands in their way.
