Claire Holt Following Her Vampire Brothers to The CW’s The Originals

It looks like Rebekah’s rekindled relationship with Stefan on “The Vampire Diaries” is coming to an end as Claire Holt, the actress who portrays the lovely original vampire, is heading to “The Originals,” the “TVD” spinoff that has already ensnared her two remaining brothers.

Per THR, Holt joins a cast that includes Joseph Morgan as her half-brother Klaus, Daniel Gillies as her brother Elijah, Phoebe Tonkin as werewolf Hayley, Charles Michael Davis as Klaus’ former protege Marcel, Daniella Pineda and Danielle Campbell as witches Sophie and Davina, respectively, and Sorority Row‘s Leah Pipes as Camille, a human unaware of the supernatural universe that exists around her.

The planted pilot will air April 25th as an episode of “The Vampire Diaries.” Written by “TVD” co-creator/executive producer Julie Plec, “The Originals” centers on the Original family of vampires as Klaus returns to the supernatural melting pot that is the French Quarter of New Orleans — a town he helped build centuries ago — and is reunited with Marcel. Elijah, intent on helping his self-destructive sibling find redemption, must side with Marcel’s enemies in order to keep Klaus in line.
