NBC's Do No Harm Scores Lowest Rated In-Season Premiere Ever
We can't say we're completely surprised by this news, but after flying high for the past few months, it's gotta hurt the powers-that-be at NBC that last night's premiere of "Do No Harm" was the lowest rated in-season debut ever of any scripted show on any of the Big Four networks.
Per Deadline, the new series was down 55% from last spring’s "Awake" premiere, pulling in just 3.13 million viewers in the time slot usually occupied by "Rock Center." Ouch! Somehow we don't see this one lasting much longer so if you're the least bit curious about it, tune in now while it still has a pulse!
"Do No Harm" Episode 1.02 - "Don't Answer the Phone" (airs 2/7/13, 10-11 pm)
Jason (Steven Pasquale), furious over Ian’s (also Steven Pasquale) out of control spending, cuts off his cash flow… only to wake up at the wheel of a "borrowed" sports car with a trunk full of money and an angry drug dealer in his rearview mirror. Meanwhile, Jason and Lena (Alana de la Garza) have a falling out over Jason’s questionable conduct, which prompts Ian to make a dangerous after-hours visit to Lena. Dr. Kenneth Jordan (Michael Esper) is also growing suspicious of Jason’s odd behavior and demands answers from Jason’s confidante, Dr. Ruben Marcado (Lin-Manuel Miranda). And Olivia (Ruta Gedmintas) fears her son’s new imaginary friend is not so imaginary after all.
"Do No Harm" is produced by Universal Television and Traugott Company. The executive producer/writer is David Schulner ("Desperate Housewives," "The Event"). Peter Traugott ("Ringer") and Rachel Kaplan ("Ringer") also are executive producers. Michael Mayer (NBC's "Smash") is the co-executive producer and director.
