Zombieland Series Details Begin to Flesh Out; Tucker and Dale Director in Talks
More details are coming in for the Amazon Studios original series presentation of "Zombieland." Read on for the full scoop regarding just who may or may not be bringing the rule-breaking zombie carnage to the small screen.
Deadline is reporting that original Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are onboard for the series as writers/co-executive producers, as is the movie’s producer Gavin Polone, who would executive produce. The really cool news, however, is that Eli Craig, who gave us the stellar Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, is in talks to helm the series. Talk about a perfect fit!
Zombieland began life as a proposed CBS sitcom that eventually got turned into a feature film. This Amazon project will return the property to its original roots in the form of 30-minute episodes.
The television version of "Zombieland" will feature returning characters such as Columbus, Wichita, and Little Rock along with some new faces and of course the usual rotting flesh-hungry, rule-breaking shamblers we have grown to love.
Stay tuned for more on this one soon!
