Lost Boys DVD Details Revealed

Lost Boys: The Tribe (click to see it bigger!)Edgar Frog is going to have his work cut out for him. What are the odds that his newest adventure against Xtreme suckheads is going to garner the same kind of following that the original Lost Boys had? The follow-up does look to have a bit of promise, but without the sax man, it’s just not going to be the same.

DVD Active got a look at the details for the special features on the Lost Boys: The Tribe DVD. The Tribe may not be bare bones, but there’s still not a whole lotta substance going on here:

  • Lost Boys: Action Junkies featurette (behind the stunts)
  • Edgar Frog’s Guide to Coming Back Alive
  • Alternate Endings
  • Remix Music Video of G Tom Mac’s Cry Little Sister
  • Three music videos from Yeah Whatever

Sigh, no sax man reunion or commentary. You can catch LB2 in stores on June 29th in both standard and Blu-ray formats.

“The poster looks like it’s two movies”

I think with most DTV titles you find there are ‘two movies’… There is the ‘cool movie’ the studio sells you via the trailer, and then there’s the pile of steaming turd that the movie actually is!

    • elric300

Didn’t Conan the Saxophonist die in the first one?

The poster looks like it’s two movies. On top, you have the actual movie, though I wish someone would tell the marketing agencies that putting your actors in generic poses, as if they were just standing around waiting for the the next shot, does not a damn thing to tell anyone about your movie.

Then, we have the bottom where…wtf IS going on? Some generic looking biker dude roaring through a cemetary at night. Ummm…ok? The teens don’t buy into that imagery. Really, they don’t. The hardcore horror fans tend to laugh it off. But then agin, they know what it is before it hits the stores. So..who are they marketing this at?

And why downplay the Frog Bros.,especially the two Corey’s in favour of a cast that no one will likely recognize?
I’m glad for them, as that’s a nice break, getting your face shown all over the place. but the two Corey’s just had a fairly successful A&E comedy show, so why not take advantage of that? Oh, yeah….it’s WB. Siwwy me. What was I thinking?

Interesting to see Kiefer Sutherland’s younger brother in this. Nice touch, I think.

And yeah Savini’s a draw for me. Hey, I always get along with the man when we bump into each other.

The sax man will never die, heathen!

I hope Corey Haim still has his special poster.

    • Terminal

      And this movie *will* rock.

    • FilmCritic3000

Yeah, this news article needs to be corrected. Corey Haim *is* in this movie.

    • Terminal

I will be watching this. Oh yes.

    • Spaceshark

      No…sax man…? 🙁

    • Cash Bailey

You figure haim’s name would be on the cover if he was in it. Even if for a cameo.

    • thedudeabides

      “Corey on Corey action”?

    • Kryten Syxx

I keep hearing conflicting stories about Haim being part of the project.

Corey Haim is in the movie, he shot his scenes a few months ago

    • Undeadmin

Who ever designed the cover should be ashamed. Corey is the only good thing about this travesty and hes the smallest thing on the cover.

    • Cash Bailey

Huh? I thought they’d managed to get Haim in for the re-shoots.

Oh well… no sax man, no mullets, no sale.

      • The Woman In Black

        But it’s got Savini!
