A big batch of new photos has surfaced from the upcoming “Bates Motel” series on A&E, and we have them all right here for you. Get to know the cast, and look for more soon as the premiere is set for early 2013.

“Bates Motel” is a Psycho prequel series from Carlton Cuse (“Lost) and Kerry Ehrin (“Friday Night Lights”) that is currently filming in Vancouver. “We think our take on the Bates family will both be surprising and subvert expectations. We can’t wait for people to check in,” Cuse recently told The Hollywood Reporter.

Freddie Highmore, Vera Farmiga, Max Thieriot, W. Earl Brown, Nestor Carbonell, Mike Vogel, Keegan Connor Tracy, Olivia Cooke, and Nicola Peltz star.

Synopsis:
“Bates Motel” will give viewers an intimate understanding of how Norman Bates’ (Highmore) psyche developed from his childhood through his teen years. Fans will have access to the dark, twisted backstory and learn firsthand how his mother, Norma (Farmiga), and her lover damaged Norman, helping forge the most well-known serial killing motel owner in history. Carbonell portrays a local sheriff, Vogel is his handsome deputy, and Thieriot plays Norman’s older brother, Dylan Bates.
